The compilation of time-lapse from 2 working webcams located in Ushuaia at Tierra del Fuego - the southernmost tip of Argentina, where the shortest day can be observed on the winter solstice on June 21st. A random timespan for the screenshots has been applied. The full period covers around 10 hours between the nautical dawn to nautical dusk. Both the beginning and end of the video mark the moment of visual complete darkness gained under the high level of artificial light.

The full HD animation of the lunar shadow moved across North America. Each town is visible on the eclipse path, which should be really beneficial for planning observations in certain areas. This is the most detailed vizualisation to be found on the web.

Total solar eclipse 2024 North America - high detal

The 3rd part of the complex animation shows the path of the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse known as the 2024 Great American Eclipse. It includes 4 major views: the top with Google Hybrid overlay (325-330 km altitude), the shadow in & out (50km altitude), and local views (10-25km).
The animation covers: Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana and the complex view of Indianapolis.
This GIS-based video has been made with the eclipse data based both on NASA.gsfc.eclipse service and Xavier Jubier eclipse page, from where I picked up the most important calculations. I also used the Eclipse24.org webpage in order to grab the local area boundaries.

Great American Eclipse 2024, part III - USA - Arkansas & Missouri & Indiana

The brief video shows the splendid eclipsed moonset above the Tatra mountains at a distance of about 115km, which was seen from the Zimna Woda (Cold Water) village near Jasło town in south-eastern Poland (Subcarpathian region).

The simulation of the lunar Metonic cycle between May 19, 2022, and May 19, 2041 displays the southernmost moonsets from Jodłówka Tuchowska Lookout tower, which stands just next to the Brzanka hill. The view is of the Tatra Mountains at a distance of about 100km. We can get to know about the following occurrences across this 19 years period:
- octaeteris
- major lunar standstill
- minor lunar standstill

Thanks to the marvelous option "Show feature count" you will get to know immediately how many items count in your vector layer. This option is even more useful when i.e. categorized styling is in use.
